With the slam of the gavel, I was mortified when I listened to the Judge hand my sons over to my abuser. I felt like I was totally assaulted and absolutely betrayed by the system that was suppose to empower me as a protective mother to protect my right to protect my children.

It became apparent that the Bush administration would do anything–considered nothing a “crime” including torture and treason. They kidnapped innocent people and tortured them to death. It happened, and it happened in our name. While the so-called Christians rabble roused and put him in office a second time! This also is for the record, some of us worked to impeach and prosecute them. Unsuccessfully. But we still won’t quit. It needs to be done, and sooner rather than later.
Officials conceded some methods were “harsh,” but they insisted no detainees were tortured or seriously mistreated.
Now a long-suppressed report by the International Committee of the Red Cross has surfaced to give the lie to those denials. The report’s contents, presented to U.S. authorities in 2007 but made public only this week, describe in graphic detail officially sanctioned beatings, torture and abuse of prisoners in secret CIA prisons around the world that clearly violated U.S. and international law.
